As one of Jackson County Park's most popular destinations, Emigrant Lake has it all. Located just minutes from downtown Ashland, Oregon, the park offers a host of activities for the entire family. Emigrant Lake is a local oasis nestled between the hills of Ashland and a great opportunity to get away from it all without having to go too far from home. Take Highway 66 east about 3.5 miles to Emigrant Lake Park turnoff (left-hand side) and see for yourself why this is one of the most popular lakes in town!

Located at 4,600 feet elevation in the Southern Oregon Cascades. A truly beautiful setting in pristine old growth forest at the foot of Mt. McLoughlin (9,495 ft). The resort offers 11 cabins for lodging, 45 full hook-up RV sites, electric-only sites and no hook-up sites for tenting. Shower and laundry facilities for our registered guests. Cafe, store and game room at our lodge. Boat rentals and moorage on a lake with a 10 mph speed limit helps make for a peaceful, relaxing stay at the resort. At its peak, the 19th century mining town of Golden, now a ghost town, was home to 100 people and served as a hub for many others who worked the land in more remote locations. Today, visitors can explore the remaining settlements perched above the valley where miners once toiled. Golden's remains include four buildings: a church, a former residence, a shed and a structure that once housed a post office and store.

Grizzly Peak Trail is a 4.7 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Ashland, Oregon that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and nature trips and is best used from May until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

Home to heritage livestock, no-till fruit and vegetable gardens, and beautiful 19th century buildings, Hanley Farm offers delicious farm products, farm-to-tale dinner services and serves as a beautiful venue for special events throughout the year.

With wide-ranging viewpoint, rare butterflies and wildflowers, and plenty of knee-scraping opportunities for the kids, Hobart Bluff is a terrific place to hike. The trail takes you on an easy stroll along the Pacific Crest Trail that skirts Hobart Peak, and ends on a small plateau vegetated by white-leaf manzanita, mountain mahogany, and western juniper.

The Skate Park offers rails, stairs, double sets and grinding blocks for both beginning and expert skateboarders. With a restroom, drinking fountain and picnic bench nearby, this is the ideal place to spend the day.

Picture yourself in a campsite overlooking Lost Creek Reservoir with wildlife, large conifer trees, and mountains surrounding you. Take a hike or bike ride on the 11-mile trail system, through the forest with year-round streams and wildlife viewing. Take a swim in the cool, mountain water; rent a boat from the marina (call (541) 560-3646 for information), and troll the 10-mile lake for trout and bass ... an angler's dream. Or bring your own boat and water skis and spend a few days in the sun! The park is about 40 miles from Crater Lake National Park, and makes an excellent jumping-off point for an exploration of Southern Oregon.
