Medford is known for is agricultural prestige as the home of internationally renowned Harry and David as well as the burgeoning world-class wine country that spans the entire Rogue Valley basin. The wine and culinary scene is a perfect pairing to the outdoor recreation that draws people from around the nation. With Crater Lake National Park anchoring the north end of the valley and oregon's Shakespeare Festival anchoring the south end, there is quite literally something for everyone--even the kids!  Here is a shortlist of family fun adventure that will keep the kids engaged and entertained as well.

Rogue Valley ZipLine Adventure is located in the historic gold mining hills of beautiful Southern Oregon. The guided zipline tours are run by certified guides on a progressive five zip line course. With many spectacular views, you can see Crater Lake Rim, Mt. McLoughlin, the Table Rocks — and much more! — from high above the treetops.

The Rogue Discovery Park, situated at the base of Lower Table Rock on the Rogue River was created to highlight the vast History, Culture, and Ecology of the Upper Rogue and Table Rock area. The Discovery Park encompasses over 3 acers and includes a 40’ pavilion, horseshoe pits, games, snack shop, and a 40-acre lake that boast many activities including camping, fishing, peddle boating, paddle boarding, and canoeing. The Park accommodates up to 350 people at one time.

The park was specifically developed as a “River Access Only” park. The unique location of the park being just minutes from town yet feeling like you’re a world away was the main factor for this decision. The Discovery Park’s goal is to provide a very special, unique place for river goers to stop off and enjoy the table rock area, while also having the ability to stay the night and finish off their great adventure downriver the next day if they choose.

The Discovery Park also hosts the “Concert at the Rocks” series and hosts 10 concerts a summer performed on the park’s floating stage. River traffic in many forms attended these amazing events and create many great memories. The concerts were scheduled to allow people enough time to embark on the remainder of the float, taking out before nightfall if they weren’t staying the night.

Anyone is welcome to visit the park, explore, picnic, or take advantage of other services at no charge. The Discovery Park is Open April 1st-October 1st every year with business hours being 8:30AM-9:30PM.

Dozens of volunteers have worked hard to bring you an even more special park! Ride diesel trains and a motor car, view unique model railroad layouts and the Hogwarts Express, ride Thomas and Percy, tour historical railroad equipment and more. Bring the whole family, pack a lunch or eat at the Park. It’s fun for all ages.

This beautiful monument is a must-see when you visit Oregon. The ranger-guided tour of the Oregon Caves will teach the entire family about the history of the people who discovered them. After the tour, take the kids to the Visitors Center to pick up their Junior Rangers workbook so they can earn their badge. Then explore the interactive displays.

Southern Oregon's #1 Destination for Family Fun, The Rogue Valley Family Fun Center has an expansive park like setting packed with different attractions for all ages. In the summer months you can enjoy soaking your family and friends on the bumper boats and then dry off on the outdoor go-kart track! Even when the weather isn't warm enough for wet hair, you will find battings cages, put-put golf and a large indoor arcade complete with food, drink and party options.

When it comes to entertainment, let’s be honest—kids are in charge. At Rogue Kart, you’ll take your kids to an unforgettable driving experience on an expansive indoor track. Sodikart has developed the new SODI LR5, a kart designed exclusively for young drivers so you can be at ease with your child's safety while still being the cool parents! There is also a cafe on-site, scheduled events for racers and the facility is available for birthdays and events.

Check each attraction's individual website for any COVID-19 related safety precautions or disruptions to accessibility.
