Family, Farmers Markets, Fruit & Vegetable Stands, Outdoor Activities, Outdoor Adventure, Things to Do

Harvest in Southern Oregon is the epitome of fall fun. The aroma of autumn is carried through the Rogue Valley, across apple orchards, whistling through corn mazes and rustling the orange, red and yellow leaves falling from the trees.

With numerous harvest festivals every weekend, freshly-picked food and family-friendly activities, there’s no better time to visit Southern Oregon than in the fall.

There’s so much to do in Medford and the Rogue Valley this fall. To help plan your autumn adventure, we have compiled a snapshot of our favorite fall activities.

Fall Festival Fun

The entire family will enjoy sampling food, meeting local vendors and farmers, listening to live music and playing among the fall leaves. There are several festivals throughout the fall season in Southern Oregon. Here are some local favorites:

Lose Yourself In A Corn Maze

Left, right, right, left? Will you find your way out or end up at the start again? That’s all part of the mystery of the corn maze! Test your sense of direction and memory in Southern Oregon’s a-maze-ing corn mazes.

A couple of stellar local corn mazes are at Pheasant Fields Farm in Medford and Fort Vannoy Farm in Grants Pass. We’ll see you on the other side!

Or will we?

Go Apple Picking

Southern Oregon is a mecca of locally-sourced and fresh, seasonal food. Apple-picking is a favorite local activity that visitors will also love.

What’s more satisfying than bringing your hand-picked apples home and putting them in a flaky, buttery apple pie, or munching on a juicy apple that was hanging from a tree just a few hours ago?
