The Walport family settled in the Applegate Valley after the 1994 Northridge earthquake caused a fire destroying their home, but leaving the family uninjured. Bruce and Judy started their journey here with cattle, and after several years, their son Eric left for college. The cattle were sold, and the land rested. Upon returning home to the Applegate, Eric and his wife Amy purchased their home next door, and started their journey to transform the retired cattle ranch into a vineyard.

Wildlife Images Rehabilitation and Education Center was founded as a non-profit corporation in 1981 by renowned wildlife rehabilitator J. David Siddon. The facility was created in order to provide for the care and treatment of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife. Wildlife Images has since expanded to provide educational programs on wildlife, conservation, and the environment to schools, organizations and the general public.

Wooldridge Creek Winery is located in the heart of the Applegate River Valley in Southern Oregon. The winery and vineyards are located on a rolling hillside overlooking the Applegate River Valley. The first grapevines were planted at Wooldridge Creek in the 1970s. Our vineyard has now expanded to 56 acres planted in twelve varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Viognier, Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Tempranillo
