The Southern Oregon Sports Commission (SOSC) is pleased to partner with KOBI-NBC Channel 5 to present a “Know Your Role Scholarship” this spring.  The $2,500 scholarship will be presented to a local senior who meets the following criteria:

1.  Athlete must be a senior.

2.  Athlete must display great sportsmanship during games and practices.

3.  Athlete shows a strong work ethic and practices as hard as they play.

4.  Athlete must be dedicated in the classroom, as well as their particular sport.

5.  Athlete is considered a leader/role model for the team and other students.

This award is intended to go to a player who best exemplifies great sportsmanship as a whole. It could be a 4-year varsity starter, or it could be the player who worked hard to make varsity as a senior, yet only plays once in a while. The goal of this award is to recognize the best sportsman or sportswoman in high school athletics.
