THE FOUR BEST U-PICK FARMS IN THE ROGUE VALLEY

The Rogue Valley is one of the best places to be during autumn, and Medford is in the heart of it all. The beautiful bowl of trees that surrounds the valley transitions to shades of fall, hiking season is at an all-time high, and best of all- u-pick farms are full of delicious produce ripe for the picking.

Take a bite into some of the best farms the valley has to offer, and celebrate fall in the most delicious way possible this year!

This farm is a true staple of the area. With over 50 different varieties of pumpkins, specialty pumpkins, winter squash and gourds on the farm, you are sure to find something you like. The farm is great for trips with family or friends, with one ticket giving you unlimited access to the corn maze, pumpkin patches (otherwise free without a ticket), animal exhibit, shots in the shooting gallery, and rides on both the zippy cow train, and hay ride!

The farm is equipped with espresso bars and a grill, as well as plenty of goodies from Grandmas Country Kitchen. Open Monday through Friday 12 – 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; reserve your time online and get your fall on today!

Note: you do not need a reservation for the pumpkin patch.

This local orchard grows incredible apple varieties, such as Fuji, Newtown pippins and Golden Delicious – which is quite the accurate description. Just minutes from the center of town, this farm is extremely convenient and bustles with lots of produce. Bring your own container and pick whatever you think looks tasty.

During the picking season they are usually open Friday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., or you can be added to their email list to get their latest updates! Apples are 50 cents a pound for the 2021 season.

They now offer local pick-up for seasonally beloved fruits virtually with their “U-Pick Online” program. During the fall season, they offer peaches (Red Haven, Elberta, Sweet Sue), apples (Gravenstein, New Town Pippin) and pears (Bartlett, Seckel, Bosc), of course.
